I was born and raised right here in Chatham County, North Carolina. My education and training before law school was as a research scientist, but I felt something was missing… community involvement. Now, the practice of law gives me all the analytical and problem-solving challenges I need on a daily basis, with the community interaction I was not getting while working in a lab. Being back home to work in Pittsboro is the icing on the cake – there is nowhere else I would rather be.
I was fortunate enough to be mentored during my final year of law school by long-time Pittsboro attorney, Cynthia Perry. She introduced me to the practice of real estate law, which I now love, and is the primary focus of my own practice. Watching the history of Chatham County come to life as I search through deeds and land records, seeing the names of people and places I have known all of my life, is truly amazing. Cindy passing on her expertise and passion for real estate law to me was a true gift.
More importantly, Cindy imparted to me her philosophies on life and the practice of law, focused on humble service to one’s community. After graduating from law school, I was given the incredible opportunity to take over Cindy’s practice as she retired. I now seek to follow in her footsteps, and continue her legacy of excellence and service to Chatham County.
